With a menu that’s ENTIRELY vegan it is a great option for dining together with plant-based friends. Somehow they’ve managed to create a plant-based egg that looks just like a real eggy, runny yolk and everything. Stillfood Bistro has counter and table service with plenty of seating indoors as well as a small street side patio outdoors.
Wayne & Freda

Wayne & Freda is a favourite spot for an elevated breakfast in a cute, well-decorated cafe. Come here for your instagrammable breakfast. Open daily from 7am, they serve toasts, bowls, sandwiches and smoothies alongside delicious coffees and teas. There’s counter service with lots of tables both inside and outside. It can get quite busy during rush hour in high season but the line moves fairly quickly.
Also worth noting you can order your food & drinks ahead of time on the app and then just swing by to pick it up and bypass the wait.
Honey Toast

Honey Toast is a cozy bakery and breakfast spot in Penticton. It is a tiny space with a small street side patio outside. You can order their namesake honey toast as well as crepes, breakfast charcuterie and quiche. And don’t forget to grab a baked goodie (or a whole pie!) to take home and enjoy later.

During high season and on weekends it gets quite busy but the lineup moves fast. The menu has a selection of breakfast options available all day as well as a handful of items that are just reserved for weekend brunch.
Tootsies Diner: Best cheap diner breakfast in Penticton

Tootsies Diner is the definition of breakfast not brunch. This spot is *only* open on weekdays from 7am – 2pm. It is a true greasy spoon breakfast experience from the menu, which features stacks of pancakes to the design, which is colourful and eclectic. It’s cheap, it’s simple, it’s delicious.
Dragonboat pub: Best breakfast in Penticton with a view

For breakfast in Penticton with a view of the Skaha lake beach, definitely head to Dragonboat Pub. Having just opened in Summer 2023 it is a new addition to the list. Breakfast is served from 8am-11am with seating both indoors and outside. It is located right in the marina so there is lots of boat activity to keep you entertained in the summer months.
Palmer Steakhouse

Palmer Steakhouse is the new kid on the block for 2024. Brought to you by the same folks behind Shaughnessy’s Cove in Summerland, Palmer Steakhouse is Penticton’s newest steakhouse. Located in the new Four Points by Sheraton Penticton, Palmer Steakhouse is bringing a “fresh vibe” to Penticton. Open daily from 7am for Breakfast, this is by far the most elevated stack of pancakes in town served before 10am.
Bonus: The Nest

The Nest isn’t open by 9am but it is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10am – 2pm for a superb breakfast. It is probably the most elevated option on this list with a modern menu featuring locally-sourced ingredients.
